  1. In Java, data structures are specialized formats for storing and organizing data efficiently. They can be built-in (from the Java Collections Framework) or custom-implemented for specific needs.

    Common Built-in Structures:

    • Array – Fixed-size, indexed collection of elements of the same type.

    • ArrayList – Resizable array with fast random access.

    • LinkedList – Doubly-linked nodes, efficient for insertions/deletions.

    • HashSet / LinkedHashSet / TreeSet – Unique element collections with different ordering and performance characteristics.

    • HashMap – Key-value pair storage with fast lookups.

    • Queue / PriorityQueue – FIFO structure, optionally ordered by priority.

    • Stack (ArrayDeque) – LIFO structure for reverse-order processing.
