    1. Gather Required Components: Raspberry Pi board. MicroSD card (at least 16GB for Raspberry Pi OS Lite or 32GB for Raspberry Pi OS Desktop). Power supply (5V/3A for Raspberry Pi 4 or as per your model). Optional: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, and HDMI cable (for non-headless setup).

    2. Download Raspberry Pi Imager: Visit the Raspberry Pi Software page and download the Raspberry Pi Imager for your computer's operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).

    3. Install Raspberry Pi Imager: Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Imager.

    4. Prepare the MicroSD Card: Insert the microSD card into your computer using an SD card reader.

    5. Write the Operating System: Open Raspberry Pi Imager. Click Choose OS and select Raspberry Pi OS (32-bit is recommended for most users). Click Choose Storage and select your microSD card. (Optional) Click the gear icon or press Ctrl + Shift + X to preconfigure settings like: Hostname. Wi-Fi credentials. Enable SSH. Click Write to begin writing the OS to the microSD card.

    6. Insert the MicroSD Card into Raspberry Pi: Once the writing process is complete, eject the microSD card and insert it into the microSD slot on the Raspberry Pi.

    7. Connect Peripherals (if not headless): Attach a monitor via HDMI, a keyboard, and a mouse to the Raspberry Pi.

    8. Power On the Raspberry Pi: Connect the power supply to the Raspberry Pi. The device will boot automatically.

    9. First Boot Configuration: If you didn’t preconfigure settings, follow the on-screen setup wizard to: Set up locale (language, time zone, keyboard layout). Create a username and password. Connect to Wi-Fi (if applicable). Update the operating system.

    10. Start Using Your Raspberry Pi: Once the setup is complete, you can begin exploring or installing additional software as needed.
