Using Notepad (Windows)

1. Open Notepad on your computer.

2. Write or paste your HTML code into the editor.

3. Click on the File menu in the top-left corner and select Save As.

4. In the Save As dialog box: Choose the location where you want to save the file. Enter a file name followed by .html (e.g., example.html). Set the Save as type dropdown to All Files.

5. Click Save to save the file as an HTML document.

Using TextEdit (Mac)

1. Open TextEdit on your Mac.

2. Go to TextEdit > Preferences and select Plain Text under the Format section.

3. Write or paste your HTML code into the editor.

4. Click on File > Save.

5. In the Save As dialog box: Enter a file name followed by .html (e.g., example.html). Ensure the file extension is .html and not .txt.

6. Click Save to save the file.

Verifying the HTML File

1. Navigate to the location where you saved the file.

2. Double-click the file to open it in your default web browser.

3. Ensure the HTML code renders correctly as a webpage.
