  1. JavaScript, a high-level programming language that is a core technology of the web alongside HTML and CSS, was invented by Brendan Eich in 1995 while he was working at Netscape Communications. Initially, it was called Mocha, then LiveScript, and finally, it was named JavaScript.

    Brief History

JavaScript was first implemented in Netscape Navigator, the most popular browser at the time. Microsoft quickly adopted it for Internet Explorer, creating its own version called JScript. The language was standardized as ECMAScript in 1997 by the ECMA International standards organization.

    Evolution and Standardization

Over the years, JavaScript has undergone numerous revisions, each adding new features and syntax. The ECMAScript standard has evolved from its initial version (ES1) to the latest version, ECMAScript 2024. Significant milestones include the introduction of ES5 in 2009 and ES6 (also known as ECMAScript 2015) in 2015, which brought many new features such as arrow functions, classes, and modules.
